Facile fabrication of robust multilayer films: visible light-triggered chemical cross-linking by the catalysis of a ruthenium(II) complex.

Highly stable covalently attached multilayer films were constructed by visible-light irradiation of hydrogen-bonding directed multilayer films of poly(allylamine) and poly(4-vinylphenol).

Tb/Co MULTILAYER FILMS AND THE RELAXATION OF THEIR INTERFACE

In Tb/Co multilayers, the saturation magnetization M, and the anisotropy constant K,, as a function of the modulation period are fitted by a mean-field model and a dipolar interaction model respectively. The Kerr rotation angles Bk relax at room temperature, which could be attributed to the existence of shear stress due to lattice mismatch at the interface.

Multilayer Nano Films for Corrosion Control

Nano films consisting of an alternating sequence of positively and negatively charged polyelectrolytes have been prepared by means of the electrostatic layer-by-layer (LBL) sequential assembly technique on treated and untreated mild steel wires. Inhibitor was encapsulated between cationic and anionic polyelectrolyte nano films. This paper mainly focuses on the effect of these nano-films of poly...

Highly Efficient and Visible Light Responsive Heterojunction Composites as Dual Photoelectrodes for Photocatalytic Fuel Cell

In the present work, a novel photocatalytic fuel cell (PFC) system involving a dual heterojunction photoelectrodes, viz. polyaniline/TiO2 nanotubes (PANI/TiO2 NTs) photoanode and CuO/Co3O4 nanorods (CuO/Co3O4 NRs) photocathode, has been designed. Compared to TiO2 NTs electrode of PFC, the present heterojunction design not only enhances the visible light absorption but also offers the higher eff...

Visible light crosslinkable chitosan hydrogels for tissue engineering.

In situ gelling constructs, which form a hydrogel at the site of injection, offer the advantage of delivering cells and growth factors to the complex structure of the defect area for tissue engineering. In the present study, visible light crosslinkable hydrogel systems were presented using methacrylated glycol chitosan (MeGC) and three blue light initiators: camphorquinone (CQ), fluorescein (FR...
